Arsenal Vs Chelsea preview

Chelsea`s first big game of pre-season kicks

off in Beijing tomorrow lunch time against ‘our

old friends` Arsenal. The starting line-up

should have a relatively familiar feel about it,

given none of the new signings are currently

on the tour.

However, there may be some new faces taking

part as a selection of the younger squad

players have travelled out to Asia. The

Express have a full run down of the 25 man

squad.

Assuming Chelsea start with their strongest

eleven, the team should begin the game with

Thibaut Courtois in goal, centre backs David

Luiz, Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta, wings

backs Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses, N`golo

Kante and Cesc Fabregas taking care of

midfield with Pedro and Willian supporting Michy

Batshuayi.

Of course Antonio Conte may chose to mix

things up by playing one or two of the ‘kids`

from the start. If he does you`d think Andreas

Christensen and Kenedy probably have the best

chance.

The game is being shown live on Chelsea TV,

with a 12:40 kick-off.

As an aside there`s a clip doing the rounds on

the web of our old keeper Petr Cech refusing

to lift a ‘mickey mouse` cup Arsenal had won

after beating Bayern Munich on penalties

(sounds familiar). You can find it on media

outlet Metro.

These tour games mean so very little but at

least it means real football is on the way

back. In just two weeks we will line up

against Arsenal again in the Charity Shield at

Wembley when we ought to see how some of

our new signings are likely to shape up.
